How to Silence Fear and Tune in to God
Whose Voice Are You Listening To? How to Silence Fear and Tune in to God
The moment you receive a terrifying diagnosis, the voices start.
Doctors. Nurses. Web searches. Well-meaning friends. All offering advice. All telling you what the outcome will be. Many of those voices are based in fear—and fear is loud.
But God is speaking too. And His voice brings peace.
“Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?” —Isaiah 53:1 (NKJV)
You get to decide whose report you will believe. God has a report—and it declares healing.
Tune Out Fear and Tune In to Faith
Minister Nina Pinder wrote these powerful words:
“If any man gives you a report which is contrary to the word of God, let God be true and every man a liar.” —Romans 3:4 (NKJV)
That verse became a lifeline for Julie Thomas. She had to learn how to shut out the world’s report and anchor herself in God’s promises. Every time the enemy whispered, “This cancer will kill you,” she fought back with the truth:
“I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” —Psalm 118:17 (KJV)
Faith in Action: What to Do When Fear Speaks
Here’s how Julie silenced fear, as she shares in her testimony:
Guard my thoughts. I refused to dwell on “what ifs.”
Control my words. I stopped repeating the doctor’s report and started repeating God’s Word.
Speak truth aloud. I made declarations over my body—even when I didn’t feel healed.
Try speaking this over yourself:
“Jesus has given me authority over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall harm me.” —Luke 10:19 (NKJV)
God’s Will Is Healing
You may hear the world say, “This is incurable.” But that’s not God’s voice.
“By His stripes you were healed.” —1 Peter 2:24 (NKJV)
“I am the Lord who heals you.” —Exodus 15:26 (NIV)
The truth is clear: it is God’s will to heal you. You must choose to tune in to His voice and let His truth drown out every lie of the enemy.
