Whose Report Will You Believe?

Julie sat in the radiologist’s office staring at a screen that looked like a Christmas tree — blinking red lights signaling malignancy, danger, and despair.

“First chemo,” he said.
“Then a bilateral mastectomy.”
“Then radiation.”
“IF we can even help you.”

Each word was like a hammer, pounding fear into her spirit. Overwhelmed and unable to speak, Julie stood up, shook the doctor's hand, and walked out.

Not out of denial. Not out of rebellion. But out of sheer desperation to get away from a present reality that completely contradicted her faith.

Because before that moment, earlier in the exam room, Julie had already decided: I will believe the report of the Lord.

“By His wounds you have been healed.” — 1 Peter 2:24, ESV

Yes, the earthly report was real — the cancer was real. But so is the Word of God. So is the power of Jesus. So is the truth that He still heals.

“I shall not die, but I shall live, and recount the deeds of the Lord.” — Psalm 118:17, ESV

In the face of a Stage 4 cancer diagnosis, Julie chose not to surrender to the world’s report. She chose life. She chose hope. She chose to fight — not just in the natural, but in the Spirit.

Practical steps for overcoming fear and choosing to focus on the report of the Lord is at the center of the book, The Report, a powerful testimony shared by Julie Thomas. For more inspiration, get your copy on Amazon today.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, I reject the enemy’s lies and every report that contradicts Your Word. I speak healing, wholeness, and resurrection life over my body. By Your stripes, I am healed. Amen.
